A gourmet recipe and formula development expert, Marie specializes in creating easy to execute, gourmet recipes with a solid, low-fat nutritional bottom line and small environmental footprint. She is Host and Executive Producer of VegTV, a video production company creating original content from vegan cooking videos to interviews with vegan product producers, medical and nutrition experts and celebrities. VegTV is a multimedia marketing company that has been producing, promoting and distributing healthy lifestyle videos since 2001. VegTV videos feature interviews with health conscious and compassionate celebrities, medical and nutrition experts, plant based product manufacturers, vegan recipe and lifestyle segments, as well as environmental and animal welfare topics. Vegetarian since 1971 and vegan since 1990, Marie left a career in television advertising to pursue her interest in food, health, nutrition and the environment. Marie has extensive media experience in both print and television and has been featured in the New York Times, The Discovery Channel and CNN. Marie has also appeared on CNN Headline News, ABC, QVC, WUSA, WNBC, KCAL, KOVR, FINE LIVING, TECH TV and NPR. She began writing for major metros and national magazines in 1990. A features writer and regular contributor to national publications, such as Vegetarian Gourmet, Vegetarian Times, Great Life, Natural Health, Today’s Dietician and Spa magazine, Marie was the first vegan columnist at Vegetarian Times, having created the Vegan Gourmet monthly column, which ran with her byline for almost 3 years. A nationally syndicated newspaper columnist, her weekly column, The Enlightened Kitchen was carried by the Philadelphia Inquirer for more than a year before it was picked up by King Features Syndicate and subsequently the Scripps Howard News Service. Marie grew up in Philadelphia, PA and lives in Southern California where she is working on a feature documentary.
